Christian Horner confronts rumoured links to Ferrari and Alpine amid Red Bull exit speculation
Horner would be an asset to any team. His longevity is really only comparable to team owners not employees and his record is the reason why.
It was inevitable when Mateschitz popped his Woody's that RBG would have a power struggle for the glamour and prestige that is F1. After all if you are a top business executive you can manage any organisation - it's all down to your own genius after all ... right?
What isn't discussed is whether Horner is really up for the slog of once again turning Jaguar into a dominant force. He's got to do that again at RBR but with the unknown of the RBPT PU and the new '26 chassis and aero regulations whilst bringing on a new wind tunnel all without his star designer. On top of that, he's got to manage his future driver line-up which could lead to the biggest driver change and this is a notable area of weakness for him given his obvious team management skills.
He's got to step back 21 years - whilst being 21 years older.
